Church Point, LA: Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Cammie S. Elkins, 82, the former Cammie Soileau. Mrs. Elkins, a native of Ville Platte, LA and long-time resident of Church Point, died Friday afternoon, October 26 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the OLSH Cemetery on HWY 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include two sons, Wendell Glen Elkins of Church Point and David Kevin Elkins and fiancee Shirley Smith of Summerville, SC.; two daughters, Brenda Richard and husband Ray Allen of Church Point and Sandra Bellard and husband Lawrence of Lake Arthur, LA; a sister, Louise Hawks of Oklahoma and fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Soileau; her husband, Hilman J. Elkins; a daughter, Donna Walker; a grandchild, Nicholas Elkins, a great-grandchild, Dax Lejeune and two sisters and two brothers.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday by Monsignor DeBlanc.

Mrs. Elkins was truly loved and will be truly missed by her extended family.
