Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 10, 2007 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point, LA. for Calvin Darbonne, 73, who died at 11:05 A.M., Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital; Church Point, La. He was a native of Swords, La. Father Jefferson J. DeBlanc conducted the services with interment following in the Belleau Cemetery; Swords, La.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Lorraine Aiken Darbonne and a son, Stephen Darbonne-both of Church Point, La.; a stepson, Mark Anthony Coppola of Camdenton, Missouri; a stepdaughter, Wanita Lorraine Coppola of Tucson, Arizona; a granddaughter, Stephanie Taylor Darbonne of Grandbury, Texas; a brother, Simon "Boy" Darbonne of Oberlin, La. and seven sisters: Elda Courville of Oberlin, La; Mary Courville of Elton, La.; Zora Lafleur of Houma, La.; Mildred Edwards of Alexandria, La.; Odile Fulmer of Kinder, La.; Linda Lyons of Church Point, La. and Eldine Lafleur of Schriever, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edville Joseph and Arment Fruge Darbonne and one son, Daniel Wade Darbonne.
Visiting hours were observed from 1:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Sunday and from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of services Monday.

A recitation of the Rosary was held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday.
Mr. Darbonne was a Korean War Era veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
