Church Point, LA: A Memorial Service will be held at a time to be determined by family for Brent V. Doucet, 61. Mr. Doucet, a native of Rayne, LA and resident of Lafayette, LA, died Tuesday night, August 18, 2026 at his residence.

Survivors include his daughter, Alexa Doucet and fiancé Taylor Patterson of Breaux Bridge, LA; his sons, Joshua Doucet and wife Natalie of Rayne, LA and Jeremy Doucet of Church Point; a grandchild, Paisley Doucet; a sister, Mona D. Daigle and husband Paul of Branch, LA; a brother, Jason Doucet and wife Mandy of Cocoa Beach, FL and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilton Joseph and Lima Labbie Doucet; the mother of his children, Kim; his second wife, Kaye Thibodeaux Doucet; a brother, Patrick Doucet and a sister, Phyllis Bourque.

A self-employed carpenter for a number of years; Mr. Doucet was a loving husband, parent, grandparent and sibling. Truly loved, he will be missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to thank his best friend and caregiver, Delores Carter, for her efforts for him.
