Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 26, 2012 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Brenda Morris, 60, the former Brenda Marie Comeaux. Mrs. Morris, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Saturday morning, March 24 at Rayne Guest Home in Rayne, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Hilda Comeaux; a sister, Kathryn Batten and husband Bobby of Rayne; two nieces, Paula Faires and husband Charles of Lafayette, La. and Monica Batten and companion Angie Clause of Church Point; a nephew, Mitchell Batten and wife Shelley of Rayne; a grandnephew, Ethan Batten and grandnieces, Robyn and Lindsey Batten-all of Rayne; grandnephews, Charles, Riley and Nicholas Clause-all of Church Point and a sister-in-law, Jenny Comeaux of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Terry Morris; her father, Berton Comeaux and her brother, James Nolan Comeaux.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 25 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
