Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Philadelphia Worship Center; Church Point, LA, for Brenda Richard Horaist, 72. Mrs. Horaist, a long-time resident of Church Point, died Sunday morning, June 1 at her daughter's residence near Branch. Brother Leldon Richard, Pastor, will conduct the Services with Interment immediately following in the St. Edmund Cemetery in Branch.

Survivors include her husband, Joey Horaist of Church Point; her daughters, Brandie Young and husband Gregory of Church Point, Shea Richard of Carencro, LA and Georganna Braman and husband Michael of Branch; her sons: Ryan Richard and wife Leslie of Branch, Jordan Horaist and wife McKinley of Crowley, LA, Bo Horaist of Church Point and Jake Horaist and wife Shayla of Midland, TX; her grandchildren: Katelyn, Megan and Wyatt Young, Trey and Julien Braman, Cullen and Case Richard, Meredith, Jackson, Adalie, Jett, Reveille and Ryan Horaist and Jewels Pellerin; her great-grandchildren: Axel, Adler and Charlie Braman and Lainey and Ryett Horaist and her sisters: Charlene Richard and husband Leldon and Marcella Lejeune-all of Rayne and Cheryl McGee of Branch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Frances Thibodeaux Lejeune; her 1st husband, Timothy Carl Richard; a son, Jason Horaist, a brother-in-law, Richard McGee, a niece, Erin Kramer and a nephew, Brody Richard.

Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday, June 2 and continue from 8:00 AM Tuesday until the time of Services. Pallbearers will be Trey and Julien Braman, Wyatt Young and Cullen, Case and Ryan Richard; Jordan, Ryan, Bo and Jake Horaist will be honorary pallbearers.

A Bakery Manager at Piggly Wiggly of Church Point for a number of years; Mrs. Horaist was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who bravely battled cancer for years.
