Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, July 21, 2023 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Bobby G. Richard, 84. Mr. Richard, a native and resident of rural St. Landry Parish, died Wednesday morning, July 19 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, LA. Father Michael Vidrine will conduct the services with interment following in the Bellevue Memorial Park south of Opelousas.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Miller Richard; his daughters, Cindy Leger and companion, Jeff Taylor, Cathy Carlisle and husband Chad and Pam Bearb and husband Terry; his son, Randy Richard and wife Christine; his grandchildren: Kimberly Malveaux, Tamara Richard, Tiffany Montecino, Carl "Mex" Montecino III, Derek and Brooke Leger, Zachary and Bryce Carlisle, Heather Zimmer, Terry "TJ" Bearb and Lindsey Theriot and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Mary Lou Richard and two sisters, Jeanette Boudreaux and Dianne Miller.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, July 20 and continue from 9:00 AM Friday until the time of services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 6:30 PM Thursday by Deacon Byrne Winn. Pallbearers will be Carl "Mex" Montecino III, Terry "TJ" Bearb, Zachary and Bryce Carlisle, John Derrick Guillory and Devon Noel. Derek Leger will be honorary pallbearer. A land surveyor, Mr. Richard raised cattle and enjoyed serving on different community boards. A devoted family man, he cherished his grandchildren and friends. He will be missed.
