Church Point, LA:        Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Blanche B. Lyons, 89, the former Blanche Marie Bernard. Mrs. Lyons, a native and resident of Church Point, died Thursday morning, September 14 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. Joshua Carrier, Pastor of Redemption Church, will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum adjacent to the church in Church Point.

Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Carrier and husband Brian of Port Barre, LA; two sons, "Charlie" Lyons and wife Elaine of Church Point and Keith Lyons and wife Stacey of Bristol, LA; a sister, Eva Mae Bernard of Scott, LA; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Lyons; her parents, Herbert and Adele Stelly Bernard; two sons, Mac and Carl Gene Lyons and two grandsons, "Baby" Joe Lyons and Bralyn Lyons.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, September 15 and continue from 8:00 AM Saturday until the time of services.

A self-employed beautician for a number of years; Mrs. Lyons was a hard-working and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA (337) 684-5488.
