Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Church Point for Beverly Cormier, 81, who passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 7:43 PM at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home.

Rev. Berl Adams, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Church Point, will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in First Baptist Church Cemetery - Hwy 35.

Mrs. Cormier, a resident of Church Point, LA was the daughter of the late Marius Brasseaux and the former Elena Labbe.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Mr. Nelson "Joe" Cormier of Church Point; one son, Kim Cormier and wife Paula of Church Point; two grandchildren, Zachary Cormier and Annie Cormier, both of Church Point and one sister, Lena Brasseaux of Church Point.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and seven brothers.

Mrs. Cormier was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Church Point and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and continue on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of services.

Pallbearers will be Brent, Chris, Scott, Nicholas, George and Zachary Cormier. Honorary pallbearer will be Annie Cormier.
