Church Point, LA:     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2022 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Betty Ann Smith Bergeron, 76, who passed away at 8:58 PM Friday, June 24 at Opelousas General Medical Center. Fr. David Rozas, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and burial will take place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum on Hwy 35.

Betty, a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Rosevelt Smith and the former Ethel Cormier. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Levens P. Bergeron of Church Point; her three daughters, Tricia Bergeron of Church Point, Monique Roy and husband Christopher of Lafayette, LA and April Leblanc and husband Jonathan of Lafayette; her two sons, Clint Bergeron and wife Kim of Gonzales, LA and Joseph Elroy Bergeron and wife Ami of Church Point; twelve grandchildren: Quentin, Dylan, Kelly, Cody, Hannah, Emily, Lane, Gabriel, Brandon, Kylee, Ashton and Abbi; ten great grandchildren: Ella, Scarlett, Levens, Alexis, Elizabeth, Zackery, Noah, Laim, Marley Rae and Karson; two sisters, Judy Brinkley and Pat Fuselier and two brothers, Ed Smith and Lynn Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Linda Vidrine and one brother, Donald Smith.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Sunday, June 26, from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of services.
