Church Point, LA: Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2018 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Betty Jo Doucet, 88, the former Betty Jo Richard. Mrs. Doucet, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Saturday afternoon, June 9 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum adjacent to the church in Church Point.

Survivors include a daughter, Claire Jackson and husband Frank of Church Point; two sisters, Sandra Fontenot of Eunice, LA and Sylvia Prejean of Opelousas, LA; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Doucet and her parents, Darbise and Lilia Comeaux Richard.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 10 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services.

Mrs. Doucet, a long-time employee of Church Point Wholesale, was truly loved by her extended family.
