Church Point, LA: Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Church Point, LA for Betty Delahoussaye, 84, the former Betty Ann Duplechin. Mrs. Delahoussaye, a native of Church Point and long-time resident of Rayne, LA, died Wednesday morning, April 8 at Acadia-St. Landry Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, April 10 and continue from 8:00 AM Saturday until the Services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday by Deacon Byrne Winn. Fr. Michael Vidrine, Parochial Vicar, will conduct the Services with Entombment immediately following in the OLSH Mausoleum; Hwy 35. Pallbearers will be Michael John, Phillip and Colt LeJeune; Hunter Stelly, Lance Bearb and Timothy Garden. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Odinet and Thomas Richard.
Survivors include her daughter, Dayna Stelly of Branch, LA; her sons: Daniel LeJeune and wife Tammy, Gary LeJeune and wife Alicia and Michael and Ronald LeJeune-all of Rayne; her stepchildren: Polly Bellard, Blaise and Teddy Delahoussaye, Maria Annis and Philomena Wolf; a sister, Annie Guidry of Youngsville, LA; 13 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Delahoussaye; her parents, Bertrand and Marie Labbie Duplechin; her sisters, Judith Venable and Dorothy "Dot" Daigle and a grandson, Thomas Canon LeJeune.
The owner of LeJeune's Grocery in Rayne for over 20 years; Mrs. Delahoussaye was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the staff of the nursing home, Hospice of Acadiana and her caretakers (who she called her "Angels") Joella Lease, Priscilla Dupuis, Judy Broussard, Kim Simon and Jo Ann Melancon; with a "Special Thank You" to Donna Leonards.
