Bertha V. Menard's Obituary
Church Point, La.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Bertha V. Menard, 92, the former Bertha Venable. Mrs. Menard, a native and long-time resident of Church Point until her move to Lake Charles, La,; died at 3:15 A.M. Sunday, April 4 at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Lake Charles. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Church Point.
Survivors include a son, Wallis Menard and his wife Anna of Lake Charles; five grandchildren: Pamela Elmer, Kevin, Keith, and Kent Menard and Paula Mouton; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raoul Menard and a son, Marion Menard.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, April 5 and continue from 10:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday.
