Obituary

Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 10, 2023 at St. Edward Church in Richard, LA for Bernadine B. Cormier, 84, the former Bernadine Bergeron. Mrs. Cormier, a native and long-time resident of Acadia Parish near Church Point, LA, died Thursday morning, April 6 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Father Korey LaVergne will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edward Cemetery adjacent to the church.

Survivors include her daughters: Dolories Miller and husband Randy of Church Point, Becky Daigle of Alexandria, LA and Lisa Guidry and husband Peter of Rayne, LA; twelve grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Levens Bergeron of Church Point, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ella LeJeune Bergeron; a sister-in-law, Betty Bergeron; her first husband, Huey Cormier; her second husband, Rodney Bertrand; a son-in-law, Timothy Daigle; a son, Ronald Cormier; a grandson, Ian Miller and a granddaughter, Samantha Daigle.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM Monday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 12:00 Noon by Deacon Byrne Winn. Mrs. Cormier, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, was truly loved and will be missed by her extended family and all who knew her.
