Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Bernadette D. Courville, 86, the former Bernadette Deshotel. Ms. Courville, a native and currently a resident of Church Point, died Tuesday afternoon, May 24 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, LA. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in Bellevue Memorial Park on Highway 182 south of Opelousas, LA.

Survivors include a son, Terry Richard and wife Becky of Sunset, LA; a daughter, Brenda Huba and husband Alvin of Clermont, FL; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodolphe and Marie Osea Lyons Deshotel and two daughters, Verlie Benoit and Ramona Richard.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 25 and continue from 8:00 A.M. until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. by Deacon Bryne Winn.

Ms. Courville was a member of the St. John Berchmans Ladies Altar Society in Cankton, LA for many years.
