Obituary

Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 24, 2021 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA for Beatrice "Bea" Daigle, 75, the former Beatrice Leger. Mrs. Daigle, a long-time resident of rural Acadia Parish near Richard, LA, passed away Saturday morning, May 22 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point, LA. Reverend Wayne Duet, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the committal services in the St. Edward Cemetery adjacent to the church.

She is survived by her husband, Michael "Mickey" Daigle of Richard; a son-in-law, Shawn Daigle of Richard; two brothers, James Leger and wife Tammy of Gonzales, LA and Keith Leger and wife Lisa of Dalton, TX; a sister, Lois Trahan of Livingston, LA; three grandchildren, Connor, Sydni and Talon Daigle and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivy and Nita Courville Leger and a daughter, Deanna Daigle.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 23 and continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 5:00 PM Sunday by Deacon Byrne Winn. A beloved mother, homemaker and member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Edward Church who loved "old-time country music"; Mrs. Daigle will be missed. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
