Church Point, LA: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. John Chapel in Lewisburg, LA for Mrs. Barbara Nell Doucet, 85, who passed away at 3:00 AM Sunday, January 13 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs, LA. Pere David Rozas will conduct the service and burial will take place in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the church.
Barbara, formerly a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Richard Kolder and the former Lula Boudreaux. She is survived by one daughter, Judy D. Olivier and husband Randy of Denham Springs; three sons, Kenneth Doucet and wife Goldie of Sunset, LA, Dale Doucet and wife Phyllis of Egan, LA and Michael Doucet and wife Renee of Egan; eleven grandchildren, Kelly Olivier, Brad Olivier, Charles Doucet, Lalita Benoit, Daniel Doucet, Chad Doucet, Jamie Broussard, Desiree Hanvey, Danielle Greene, Shad Delhomme and Shana Menard; eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Doucet; her parents; one daughter-in-law, Genell Doucet; one sister, Norma Lee Joubert and five brothers, Alban, Aaron, Richard, Jr., Leroy and Burton Kolder.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, January 14 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the time of service.
