Church Point, LA:        A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA for Mrs. Barbara F. "Bobbi" Doucet, 71, who passed away at 5:31 PM Friday, September 30 at her residence near Church Point, LA. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and interment will take place in the St. Bridget Cemetery adjacent to the church.

Barbara, a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Jack Faul and the former Eula Marie Kady. She worked as a CNA in private home care and was a member of the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church Choir.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Dean Doucet of Church Point; one daughter, Kimberly Doucet Daigle and husband Brock of Church Point; one son, Richie Doucet of Church Point; her "Bonus Mom", Shirley Faul; seven grandchildren: Jordan, Haileigh, Khamron and Ameleigh Doucet, Jackson and Jayden Breaux and Baylor Chappell; three sisters, Patricia Goble and husband Harley of Huntsville, AL, Debbie Worland and husband Mike of Huntsville, AL and Cathy Mullins of Huntsville, AL and one brother, Mike Faul and wife Peggy of Lawtell. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 4, from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM.
