Avaton "Bye" Leger's Obituary
Church Point, La.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point for Avaton "Bye" Leger, 90. Mr. Leger, a native of Prairie Ronde, La. and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 8:00 A.M. Thursday, June 9 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana; Lafayette, La. Monsignor Jefferson DeBlanc will conduct a Memorial Service at 3:00 P.M. Monday, June 13 at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chapel in Church Point.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Miller Leger and his son, Theolice Joseph "Joe" Leger and wife Anna-all of Lafayette, La; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerican and Azelie Benoit Leger.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday by Deacon Bryne Winn.
