Audie, affectionately known as "Pappy" by his adoring grandchildren, was a native of Jeanerette and resident of Church Point for the last 16 years. He loved spending time at the camp with his fiancé, Dawn, fishing and having a great time. You could always find him with an ear-to-ear smile as you walked up for your greeting and tight hug, "sha". Saying that Pappy adored his grandchildren was by far an understatement; they were his most prized treasure and he was so proud to say so. He was one of the greatest cooks around, ask anyone and they'll tell you, "ca c'est bon"; from his BBQ to rice and gravy or fried chicken, he had it down to perfection. Audie was a diehard LSU and Saints fan, he cheered, yelled and occasionally cussed while watching the games. His compassionate heart and lively nature will be missed by everyone who had a chance to meet him, and our precious memories made will be cherished. Oh yeah, and Go Trump! Survivors include his fiancé, Dawn Higginbotham, of Church Point; two sons, Audie Joseph Boutte, Jr. and his fiancé, Julie Hirata, of Lafayette and Gregory David Boutte of Midland, TX; two daughters, Heather Christine Boutte Carrasco and her husband, Andres, of Lafayette and Jessica Anne Boutte and her fiancé, Joey Lagneaux, of Scott; one step-daughter, Summer Hollier of Church Point; his mother, the former Madeline Migues, of Youngsville; his step-mother, Ruth Boutte, of Jeanerette; two brothers, Jason Boutte and his wife, Shellie and Allen Boutte, Jr. and his son, Peyton, all of New Iberia; one sister, Belinda Migues, of Youngsville; one brother-in-law, Kevin Migues of Youngsville; 21 grandchildren, Hayden Boutte, Collin Boutte, Blayze Boutte, Brianna Carrasco, Lily Boutte, Kylie Boutte, Kenzie Guevara, Gabrielle Carrasco, Jasmine Boutte, Ethan Boutte, Sage Boutte, Easton Durke , Samuel Carrasco, Addison Lagneaux and Penelope Lagneaux and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
