A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, for Annie Iris Miller, 81, who passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 8:30 PM at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Msgr. Jefferson Deblanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass.

Burial will take place in Bellevue Memorial Cemetery in Opelousas.

Ms. Miller, a resident of Church Point, La. was the daughter of the late Earl Miller and the former Ruby Miller.

She is survived by her caretaker and niece, Waver "Sis" Dugas; three aunts and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ruby Miller.
She loved bingo and dancing at the nursing home dances. She enjoyed most of the activities at the nursing home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Friday evening at 7:30 PM.

Pallbearers will be Don Dugas, David Briggs, Hayden Richard, Kavin Savoy, Dwayne Savoy and Felix Romero.
