Church Point, LA Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Anna Belle Matte, 74, who passed away at 11:00 pm on Wednesday, April 19 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the funeral services with burial following in St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg, LA.

Anna, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Louis Deshotel and the former Odelia Colligan. She is survived by one son, Levence J. Matte, Sr. of Church Point; three grandchildren, Jessica Trahan of Rayne, LA, Dana Matte of Rayne and Shelby Monique Matte of Church Point; one great grandchild, Briley Ray Matte of Church Point and three brothers, Lee Ray Deshotel of Church Point, Lee Roy Deshotel of Minnesota and John Deshotel of Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Linus J. Matte; one grandson, Levence J. Matte, Jr.; one sister, Verna Mae Sonnier and one brother, Floyd Deshotel.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 am until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 1:00 pm Saturday prior to the funeral service.
