Church Point, LA:     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. Andrew Joseph Jagneaux, 93, who passed away Friday morning, July 12 at Southeast LA Veterans Home in Reserve, LA. Fr. Austin Leger will be the Celebrant of the Mass and entombment will take place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.
Mr. Jagneaux, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Mitchel Jagneaux and the former Mary Elkins Jagneaux. He is survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Urella Doucet Jagneaux; one sister, Verley Mae Jagneaux Bearb and one brother, Roosevelt Paul Jagneaux, Sr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service. Mr. Jagneaux, a WWII Army Veteran, was an employee of Freeport Sulphur and Freeport Chemical in Port Sulphur and Convent, LA for many years. A musician, builder of accordions and devoted to his wife and dog, "Mignon"; he will truly be missed by his extended family and friends.
