Church Point, LA:         A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 15, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Rayne, LA for Amy Olivia Guidry, 24, of Church Point, LA who passed away Saturday afternoon, July 10 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Gene Lee, pastor of the church, will officiate at the service and committal will be in the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Cemetery in Richard, LA.

She is survived by her parents, Wendel K. and Vonda Cormier Guidry of Church Point; a sister, Brittany Smith and husband Skee of Crowley, LA; her paternal grandmother, Sadie Guidry of Church Point and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Irby Guidry and her maternal grandparents, Henry and Amy Cormier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at First Baptist Church from 9:30 AM until the time of services.

Ms. Guidry, a nurse pursuing studies in pre-med, was a loving person who was devoted to her family, pets and friends and loved to travel. She was voted Miss Church Point of 2015. Truly loved, she will be missed. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
