Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, June 18, 2012 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Amy Guidry, 96. Ms. Guidry, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died Friday afternoon, June 15 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery adjacent to the Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Smith and husband Larry of Beaumont, Tex.; three grandchildren: Sharon Smith and husband James, Kirk Smith and wife Jennifer and Stephanie Smith-all of Beaumont and four great-grandchildren: Tyler, Tory, Kaleb and Karson Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Toledon and Cathryn (Richard) Guidry; four sisters and two brothers.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 17 and continue from 11:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Monsignor DeBlanc.

Ms. Guidry will be remembered as an avid gardener who loved to take care of her yard.
