Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 18, 2011 at the St. John Chapel; Lewisburg, La. for Mrs. Alton "Tony" (Beulah) Cormier, 87, the former Mary Beulah Fontenot. Mrs. Cormier, a native and long-time resident of Lewisburg, died at 9:40 A.M. Friday, July 15 at her residence. Father Brad Guillory will conduct the services with interment following in the Bellevue Memorial Cemetery on Highway 182 south of Opelousas, La.

Survivors include a daughter, Shavonne Cormier of Lewisburg, La. and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton "Tony" Cormier; her parents, Bennett, Sr. and Mary (Higginbotham) Fontenot; two brothers, Bennett, Jr. and Warren Ray Fontenot and two sisters, Rosa Mae Cormier and Ruth Richard.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 17 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services.

A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc.
