Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Allen Louis Doucet, 82. Mr. Doucet, a native of Church Point and long-time resident of Alexandria, LA, passed away Wednesday morning, February 16, in Baytown, TX. Rev. Father Père Rozas, parochial vicar of the church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and entombment will be in the Monsignor Bienvenu Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

A devoted family man with a good sense of humor, Mr. Doucet was a truck driver with Union Pacific Railroad for more than thirty years. He will truly be missed by his extended family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Lalonde Doucet of Alexandria; his sons, Shannon Doucet and Lance Doucet and wife Carla-all of Baytown, TX, Tammie Robak and husband Stanley of Midlothian, TX and Kimla Abshire and husband Jeffrey and Candice Baker-all of Baytown; a brother, Johnny Doucet of Sunset, LA; his sisters, Freda Richard and husband Rodney of Church Point and Yolande Adotto and husband Tony of Opelousas, LA and eight grandchildren: Anthony and Camille Robak, Analeigh and Jill Abshire, Hannah and Justin Baker and Ethan and Seth Doucet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Lena Comeaux Doucet and a granddaughter, Alexis Doucet.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 8:00 AM Saturday until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 10:00 AM by Père Rozas. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Doucet will be honored with a Flag Presentation Ceremony at the time of services. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
