Church Point, La. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 2015 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA for Alice B. LeJeune, 93, who passed away at 07:39 PM Friday, July 3 at her residence. Rev. Wayne Duet, Pastor of St. Edward Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services with burial immediately following in St. Edward Cemetery adjacent to the church.
Alice, a resident of rural Acadia Parish near Richard, was the daughter of the late Daniel Blanchard and the former Celiman Boudreaux.
She is survived by three daughters, Lois LeBlanc and husband John "J.V." of Duson, LA., Lou Anna Barry of Rayne, LA and Charlotte Lavergne of Lafayette, LA; two sons, Roland LeJeune and wife Patty of Pitreville, LA and Randal LeJeune of Lafayette; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and one brother, Tilman Blanchard of Baytown, TX.
She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Aaron LeJeune and six sisters and four brothers.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Sunday, July 5 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited there at 7:00 pm Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Marty LeJeune, Bryan Savoy, Keith Savoy, Matthew and Aaron Lavergne and Dillon LeJeune. Honorary pallbearers will be Tilman Blanchard and Greg Lavergne. Lectors will be Lisa Martin and Parker Vige.
