Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Guidry Funeral Home, Church Point for Alban "Brother" Kolder, 73. Mr. Kolder, a native of rural St. Landry Parish and resident of Church Point, died at 11:25 P.M. Thursday, May 27 at Opelousas General Hospital; Opelousas, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery; Highway 35, Church Point.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Janise Kolder of Church Point; a son, Patrick Kolder and wife Theresa of Port Barre, La.; two daughters, Ramona Sonnier and husband Lerlin of Opelousas, La. and Wendy Bergeron and husband Robert of Church Point; a brother, Richard Kolder of Opelousas; two sisters, Norma Lee Joubert of Lewisburg and Barbara Nell Doucet of Lawtell, La. and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lula Boudreaux Kolder.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services.

Mr. Kolder was a trucker for virtually all of his adult life, hauling and selling seasonal and regional produce.
