Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, July 30, 2012 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Agnes Venable,83, the former Agnes Guidry. Mrs. Venable, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died Saturday morning at her residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her sons, Timothy Venable and wife Clair and Todd Venable and wife Bridget; her daughters, Charmaine V. Martin and JoAnn V. Duplechin and husband Gary-all of Church Point; her brothers, Malcolm Guidry and wife Mary of Richard and Edward Guidry and wife Evelyn of Lafayette, La.; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignace and Agnes Guidry; her husband, Wesley Venable; a sister, Eula G. Higginbotham and her brothers: Ferdinand, Evorell, Joseph, Walter and Ignace Guidry.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 29 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
