Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Mrs. Adam Eula Bellard, 85, the former Vida Matte. Mrs. Bellard, a native of and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 10:15 A.M. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Meadowbrook Specialty Hospital; Lafayette, La. Father Gregory Chauvin will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery; Highway 35, Church Point.

Survivors include a son, Learlin Bellard of Cankton, La.; a grandson, Shane Bellard and wife Brandy of Lafayette, La.; two granddaughters, Brandi Pelloquin and husband Brent and Bridget Fabre and husband Lony-all of Lafayette and eight great-grandchildren: Christyn and Joshua Bellard, Haydn and Brendan Fabre and Abigail, Sophia, Libby, and Nora Pelloquin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Eula Bellard; a son, Warren Bellard; her parents, Joseuses and Marie LeBlanc Matte and a daughter-in-law, Marie Lavergne Bellard.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed beginning 9:00 A.M. Friday, April 17 and continue uninterrupted until the time of the services on Saturday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Deacon Jim Cormier.

Pallbearers will be David Richard, Shane and Darren Bellard, Brent Pelloquin, Lony Fabre and Douglas Higginbotham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Bellard and Haydn and Brendan Fabre.
