Church Point, LA:    A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2024 at Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Church, Church Point, La for Mr. Adam Jacques Guidry, 44, who passed away at 12:30 PM Thursday, February 29 at his residence. Fr. Edward Duhon, Pastor of Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum; HWY 35.

Adam, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the son of Christopher Adam Guidry and the former Renee Onebane. He is survived by his mother and father, Chris and Renee Onebane Guidry of Church Point; two sisters, Lainey Guidry and husband Stephen M. of Los Angeles, CA and Dayna G. Mouton and husband Andrew of Church Point; one brother, Luke Guidry and wife Bridgid H. Guidry of Church Point; six nieces and nephews: Jack and Drew Mouton, Jolie and Luke Thomas Guidry and Juliana Guidry and Catherine Mouton-who are both his Godchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adam and Rosita Guidry and Thomas and Donna Onebane.

"He was a graduate of Our Mother of Peace Elementary in Church Point, a 1998 graduate of Notre Dame High School and received an Associate's Degree from Remington College. He went on to work at LCR and later worked with Chris Guidry Plumbing alongside his father and brother for many years. After beating childhood cancer, Adam was an active outdoorsman who loved to play golf, fish, or watch the LSU Tigers play. He loved pets (especially his cats). He absolutely adored his nieces and nephews! Above all, he was the kindest, most selfless son, brother, uncle and friend that you could ever ask for. He fought valiantly through his battle with ALS, rarely complaining and only asking for help when he absolutely needed it. We miss him dearly but know that he is pain free and walking with Jesus. Until we meet again Big A!"

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, March 3 and continue from 9:00 AM Monday until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited at the funeral Home at 6:00 PM Sunday by Fr. Duhon.
